This one was actually taken the night before the wedding when Molly and I arrived at Emily's family's house in Maine. It was dark - obviously, and I hadn't taken any star shots in a while.

neat time lapse shot. this kind of shot always reminds me of the beginning of Sagan's book, Contact, when the little girl is lying down staring at the stars and imagining how fast the earth is spinning. Anyway, cool shot.

@danthro: Thanks a lot. Contact is a good story, a good character study of the human race.
Great experimentation!

@Craiger: Glad you like it, though I must say this wasn't my first attempt at it.
Spectacular image.

@Arco-Íris: Thank you very much!
Great shot, something I've always wanted to try.

@Betty: Thanks a lot! Get out there and go for it. If you have a tripod and a remote shutter release, it couldn't be easier. Plus there's something really rewarding about taking long shots at night. Get bundled up next full moon, get away from cities a bit so there isn't so much light pollution, and shoot away!
Very cool picture! I like this a lot!
