Longest Exposure Ever!

So I went out night shooting about a week ago and decided that, since I had lots of time to kill (my roomates were watching the season finale of Battlestar Galactica and I'm not quite caught up to that point yet) I would go for by far the longest exposure I had ever attempted. I found a spot in the Gustavus Arboretum, set up, bumped my ISO all the way down and my aperture up quite a bit, opened the shutter, and WALKED AWAY.

25 minutes later, this is what I ended up with. 25 minutes sitting around on a bench by myself occasionally stealing glances at my camera to make sure that it was still going and hadn't been too long. That was a long 25 minutes. However, the star streaks, the colors, the lights flaring every-which-way, all put together add up to a shot that is really cool and was definitely worth the wait. I'm excited to get another opportunity for something like this. The moon is actually full again tonight, but it's been raining since Thursday and doesn't really look like it's going to stop anytime soon.

On a side note, Baseball is back!! I'm going to the Twins home opener tonight! 5 years in a row for me, and I'm very excited. The thought of a dome dog has been keeping me going for the last month.

We're gonna win Twins, we're gonna score!
