Seared Peppered Pork

Man oh man, what a combination of meals these babies turned into.

First thing, I seasoned very simply with salt and pepper a few pork loins. I got one of my pans nice and hot and seared them until I got some very nice colors going. After that I tossed them into my crock pot along with a few onions, lots of garlic, and about 3 cups of homemade teriyaki sauce for about 20 hours. After that I drained it all out, put the onions and garlic into a little bowl, shredded the pork up real nice, chopped up some cabbage, rice noodles, carrot, and fresh parsley and we made some homemade spring rolls! Talk about a good time. Talk about tasty, too.

Along with it I tried very hard to make onigiri (rice balls, basically, and we tossed some spiced tuna into the center for a little extra jazz) with some sugar and rice vinegar tossed into it, but there was a problem. Apparently the rice I purchased isn't nearly sticky enough for this type of application. SO, if anybody has suggestions for some good sticky rice, please let me know!
