In an effort to do some things with my photography a little out of the box as I was given a suggestion to do the other day, I decided to take some wild and exciting shots of my head and go a bit heavier on the post-processing than I usually do. I ended up with a group of three that I was decently happy with, and I hope that everybody else likes them too!

Nicely done, but your first "Crazy Hair" photo is the best so far.. waiting for the 3rd post.

@semaha: Thanks. I was also happier with the first one than with this one, but I figured I may as well post all three. Glad to see that people are keeping track of things on here!
Yes, I think the first was better - just a thought, you could try to use photoshop to get rid of the shadow at the bottom if you were very patient...

@Adiemus: Yeah, you really hate that shadow, don't you? Haha, fair enough. The problem with that is I definitely lack the patience. I don't know if I feel it warrants that much time, is it really that distracting?
I don't mind the shadow so much. Not sure if I am crazy about the blown out cheek and halo - I would have made those a bit less bright but otherwise good series so far. Yesterday's had more style I think in terms of composition and the way your hair filled out the orb of the background.
I just cut a bunch of my crazy hair off last night - still getting used to it!

@Jason Kravitz: Yeah, I agree, the brightness on this one did get a little overdone. And I know what you mean about getting used to having no hair. My usual style is I get my hair cut short and then wait a year and get it cut short again. It is a big money saver, only having one haircut a year.
I dont think this kind of image needs to be perfectly executed. I dont mind the shadow; it kinda shows the haphazardness of your process.

@Nick Chase: It definitely was haphazard! A lack of ideas on what to do and definitely not bright enough lights in my bedroom at around 2am.
Great work; I really like this one!

@Damon Schreiber: Thanks very much!
Loving the series ... 1st one's still #1 for me. Will wait for the 3rd for final verdict.

@Aaron Schmidt: Thanks! Glad you're keeping track of my shots :)
The 1st one wins so far. In this one, you look tired and sleepy :) I guess it's all in the eyes. Looking forward to the 3rd ...

@Lyndsey Le: The eyes were a bit weird in this one, but you wouldn't believe how hard it was for me to get my head to go through the right motions at the right time in front of the lens and then at the same time try to keep my eyes fully open. Forget about smiling! I tried that a few times, never even came close to working out :)
cool shot Andrew!
