Matt and Emily enjoying some good food, conversation, and trivia at Patrick's last Tuesday. Unfortunately, neither of them dressed up for the fake costume contest that our team made up, but I think that everyone had a good time. A note to people around the area - if you decide to go to Patrick's for some food, make sure you get a side of either ranch fries or buffalo chips, and make extra sure you get some of their absolutely fabulous jalapeño poppers.

Hello,
Not a bad shot, but the shot suffers from a problem called "colour cast" which thank God can be easily fixed if you know how. All in Photoshop CS2
You can use either curve or levels (both found under image>adjustment) & then set the gray point (mid tones) eyedropper to click an area of the image that should be neutral gray, this should remove the colour cast.
OR
You can go to image>adjustment>match colour then check the neutralize box, play with the other sliders there & see what happens.
Yo can simply convert images like these to monochrome using the 5 or 6 methods out there, I prefer using the channel mixer or calculations method, but one easy cheat is to use gradient map :)
OR...
Naa I think that's enough for today. Hope this helps.

Or you could just enjoy the warm tones reflecting a friendly evening at the bar - and there's nothing wrong with that.

Thank you both for your comments, I did try adjusting the color tones, but I found that I liked the more natural look of the lighting from the dimness inside the bar. Of course, thats just my opinion, but this works for me :)

Everyone in your photos looks so relaxed, so natural =)

Thanks! It is definitely a relaxed environment, and I much prefer candid shots to classic "smile!" shots of people. So much more realistic to me.

No fair using Emily in your photos... it's impossible to take a bad picture with her in it!

@Drew: All the more reason for me to put it up, I'd say.
